Larry Botchway is an architect, tutor at the Architectural Association, and engagement specialist with wide-ranging experience across the public, cultural and community sectors. Named as a RIBAJ Rising Star in 2023 and featured in Zetteler’s 24 for 24, Larry is co founder of the award-winning POoR (Power Out of Restriction) Collective, a socially driven design and engagement practice working with young people and underrepresented communities to shape architecture, public space and cultural projects. Through POoR, Larry has led projects with organisations including the National Maritime Museum, Royal Institute of British Architects, British Library, London Museum, the Fitzwilliam Museum, and Battersea Power Station, alongside local authorities across London. The practice’s work has also developed internationally, including participation in the Mayrit Biennial in Madrid and design and research residencies in Athens, Tilos and Amsterdam.
