Marina Blake

Marina Blake

Marina is an independent creative director, curator and producer with over a decade's experience creating festivals, programmes and artworks at the intersection of music, play, public programmes and DIY culture, through her organisation Brainchild and at Southbank Centre. For ten years she led Brainchild's award-winning multi-arts camping festival, supporting 2,000 artists to test new ideas, including debut shows from Ezra Collective, Ross From Friends and Pecs Drag Kings, and commissioning 20 emerging architects, designers and artists annually to bring installations into South East London's public spaces. Most recently Brainchild produced the Rye Lane Fruit Palace, a Peckham pop-up playground co-designed with local artists and primary school children, which won a Thornton Education Trust 2025 Award. At Southbank Centre she has produced programming across the 11-acre site, from six-week summer festivals to this year's flagship 75th Anniversary project with Danny Boyle.
