Mike is a director at global engineering consultant Arup where he specialises in decarbonising and improving the climate resilience of existing buildings. His technical background is in engineering energy-efficient and comfortable environments in buildings. In 2022 he led the team that delivered the Climate Change Committee commissioned study on addressing overheating risk in existing UK homes. On the same subject he has also collaborated with industry partners and academics carrying out research into how we define comfort in homes during hot weather.
