Nina Tolstrup

Studiomama is an East London-based multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2000 by Nina Tolstrup and Jack Mama. Nina Tolstrup draws on her Scandinavian roots and diverse experience in design, management, and marketing. She combines a deep grounding in design with an innate connection to nature. Jack Mama grew up in a multicultural environment in London, and has worked as a creative director for several global brands. He is known for his visionary work in design futures and design-led strategy. Together, Nina and Jack blend their diverse backgrounds and skills to create a distinctive, sustainable, and playful design practice. Their portfolio includes architecture, interior design, jewellery, exhibition design, curation, products, and furniture, collaborating with a range of clients from NGOs to global brands. Their work is characterised by a deep understanding of people's needs and the socio-cultural context in which they live, ensuring attention to detail in all their projects.
