Steve Eum is Vice President and General Manager of Design at Chery Automobile, leading the design direction of one of the world's fastest-growing automotive groups. Born in Korea and raised in Southern California, he has over 35 years of experience in automotive design across the US, Asia and Europe. Before joining Chery in 2017, his career included roles at General Motors, Ford, Hyundai and Chrysler, bringing extensive international experience to a company with increasingly global ambitions. Today, Eum oversees Chery alongside newer international brands including OMODA, JAECOO and LEPAS, giving each its own character: from the fashion-led approach of OMODA to the restrained SUV identity of JAECOO and the more sophisticated positioning of LEPAS. As Chery expands internationally, Eum works with design teams across markets, ensuring design plays a central role in the group's continued global growth.
