Zak Kyes is a Swiss-American creative director and founder of Zak Group. He graduated from California Institute of the Arts. As a teenager he discovered the work of the Bauhaus-trained designer Herbert Bayer, whose hybrid body of work fused art, graphic design and architecture. At Zak Group he leads a wide range of cultural and commercial projects for Anne Imhof, FACT, Frank Ocean, M+, Nike, Paco Rabanne, Virgil Abloh, vitra and many others. The office has won numerous international awards. Kyes has served as visiting professor at ECAL and the Architectural Association School of Architecture, where he was also art director. He has curated several exhibitions and edited books on design, including Forms of Inquiry and was the subject of Zak Kyes Working With.
