10,000 Rivets

Launching during London Design Festival 2026, 10,000 Rivets brings together Tom Pearson’s longstanding fascination with metal, machinery and the possibilities of industrial manufacturing. Pearson previously co-founded and ran the fabrication workshop Jamps Studio, producing work for clients including the British Pavilion at the Venice Architecture Biennale, artist Marguerite Humeau and the Victoria and Albert Museum. For this exclusive collection, Pearson transforms an industrial fixing into its defining detail. Strong, angular forms are constructed from planes of aluminium sheet, their surfaces appearing to hover in place, held together by precise lines of rivets along each seam. Developed over the past year, Pearson’s technique places tubular spacers between the rivets, creating separation and shadow while elevating the humble fixing from functional necessity to decorative feature.
