For London Design Festival 2026, Monologue presents Afterimage: an exploration of the optical phenomenon that lingers after its source has disappeared. Conceived by Pavel Klimczak and designed by Paraforma, the installation turns Monologue's Mayfair showroom into a landscape of shifting reflections.

At its centre stands a monumental circular mirror, polished from a clouded rim to a flawless core and raised on a gridded platform in stainless steel. Move around it and the reflection shifts: the objects, the room and the gardens of Portman Square fold into one another, then pull apart again. The effect gives the exhibition its name, the visual impression that lingers after its source has gone. Tacchini anchors the scene. A longstanding partner of Monologue, the Italian house shows a curated selection of its pieces alongside works in resin, glass and metal by studios and independent designers. Together they turn the showroom into a single, reflective composition where established names meet emerging talent. Presented at Monologue's showroom at 4 Portman Square, Afterimage reflects Monologue's ongoing commitment to fostering dialogue between designers and makers through material experimentation.
