The Lab W1

The Lab W1 is London's newest platform for cross-sector collaboration and co-design, and in support of the launch of Soho as LDF's newest Design District, we've bringing "Better Living By Design" our flagship exhibition and cultural programme to the streets of Soho.

"Better Living By Design" by The Lab W1 Our activations across 3 locations in Soho for LDF 2026 have a central focus on celebrating local heritage (across design, film, fashion and music), and amplifying the voices of NextGen grassroots talent. Starting with Tottenham Court Road: the gateway to Soho, London Design Festival’s newest Design District, our Better Living By Design exhibition through to Dean Street and Shaftsbury Avenue: our co-designed programme of events features collaborators such as Kind At Heart CIC, Brodie Neill, Vivobarefoot, C.Q Studio, University Arts London, University East London, Crafts Council, the Future Fabrics Expo, Daniel Heath Studio, Publica, MYGROUP– Refactory, Raindance, Chief of the Beach, Dart & Grey, The Mills Fabrica, Well Crafted, Futurecity, COLECHI and many more! Our programme of events across Soho, maps a story of how we, as a collective, possess the power to transform our ways of thinking, our lifestyles and our cities through craft, co-design and cultural innovation. Our extended thanks and gratitude to our venue partners: General Projects (The Heals Building), The Groucho Club, and Century Club Yasmin Jones-Henry (Curator & Founder of The Lab W1)
