Bouroullec Père
Partner Programme
20 — 24 Sept 2021
Craft, Industrial & Product Design
Gabriel Bouroullec is the father of the French designers Ronan and Erwan. After retiring as a social worker, he developed the habit of carving spoons in his wood workshop in Brittany. This display makes manifest the charm and imperfect beauty of his creations. They are available to buy, with proceeds going to charity.
The spoons are for sale from Wednesday. Visit the exhibition before then to see the full complement as spoons will disappear from the display as they are purchased. All proceeds from the sales will go to the Emmaus charity, as chosen by Gabriel. Iso-Lounge, a new cantilever chair designed by Jasper Morrison for Isokon+, will be on show in the exhibition room.
