A festival of climate action featuring workshops, repair sessions, talks and design exhibitions that challenge our throwaway culture and showcase creative and practical ways to live more sustainably. This is a platform on which to connect with people, organisations and institutions around shared hope for the future.
Camden Inspire: Green Loop Takeover is a free, one-day festival challenging our obsession with the “new” and inviting us to creatively rethink our relationship with waste. Taking place in Camden Town as part of the London Design Festival 2025, this public event brings together local artists, institutions and communities to explore bold ideas for a more sustainable future. Through hands-on workshops, repair sessions, talks and design showcases, the festival encourages practical climate action and celebrates creativity as a powerful tool for change. From learning to upcycling to reimagining everyday materials, the programme invites visitors of all ages to participate in shaping a circular, low-waste future. At the heart of this year's festival is UnBroken - a show-stopping exhibition of salvaged furniture, saved from landfill and transformed by celebrated designers into one-of-a-kind creations, each with sustainability and craftsmanship at its core. The redesigned works will be exhibited at Camden Collective, a meanwhile-use creative hub in the heart of Camden Town, from 15th to 20th September 2025. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Alongside the exhibition and auction, visitors will have the opportunity to try out upcycling techniques, learn from designers and makers and take away practical tools for reducing waste in their own lives.
