FORAGED by Heiter X is a multidisciplinary design project aiming to encourage reconnecting with oneself and the world around us. The interactive digital installation at Shoreditch Arts Club exists as an extension to the physical show – an edible experience – at SoShiro. The project is supported by Buckley Gray Yeoman.
This September for London Design Festival, in collaboration with SoShiro, Shoreditch Arts Club and Protopia Collective, Heiter X presents a two-part multidisciplinary exhibition FORAGED exploring the introspection on foraging and connectivity. The physical installation and immersive edible experience will take place at SoShiro from 14–28 September 2024. This project introduces a specially designed edible table landscape inspired by the beauty of foraging, exploring the synergy of food, design, and sustainability. The corresponding digital display at Shoreditch Arts Club will be on view from 16 – 27 September 2024. Heiter X presents HIIS: A Digital Sanctuary, an immersive showcase comprising ‘The Longest Movie Ever Made’ by Marit Mihklepp, and digital work by Taavet Jansen with visuals by JoJo&me and soundscape by Jo Nurm, presented by Protopia Collective. Inspired by sacred groves (hiis in Estonian) – ancient sites to offer gratitude and wishes to forest spirits – HIIS: A Digital Sanctuary by Heiter X is a digital space where reflections collected from the physical exhibition are transported and blended with visual and auditory elements to create a ‘web of life’. Marit Mihklepp’s work The Longest Movie Ever Made delves into the concept of geological imagination and humanity’s connection with stones. Opening evening at Shoreditch Arts Club – 19 Sep from 7pm. The project is generously supported by Buckley Gray Yeoman.
