Discover the work of innovative charity Furnishing Futures. We partner with the interiors industry to create healing homes for families after escaping domestic abuse. We're holding tours every hour in our warehouse. Come and learn about sustainability in interiors and the impact of trauma-informed design for recovery.

Tours will take place on the hour at: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. This open studio event will give an insight into the work of Furnishing Futures, which partners with the interiors industry to create trauma-informed healing homes for families given empty social housing after escaping domestic abuse. Enjoy a tour of our warehouse and studio, meet our team and learn about sustainability in interiors and the impact of trauma-informed design for recovery. Our homes have a huge impact on our mental health and wellbeing. Living in poor quality housing without proper flooring, curtains or furniture has a devastating impact on people’s self-esteem and yet most social housing is given to families completely bare, without even flooring. These might be houses, but they’re not homes. Women and children who are rehoused in empty flats after escaping domestic abuse find themselves plunged into poverty at the most vulnerable time in their lives. Families already struggling to make ends meet cannot stretch their shrinking household budgets to afford basic items like beds, sofas or curtains. That’s where we come in. Furnishing Futures takes furniture and homewares donated by the interiors industry and our incredible supporters and creates healing homes that support women and children’s wellbeing and raise self-esteem. We support families by creating beautiful homes, designed well.
