To celebrate the announcement of the exclusive partnership with the Henry Moore Foundation, French textile editor Garro Éditions has collaborated with British furniture manufacturer Isokon to upholster the Isokon Long Chair designed by Marcel Breuer with Henry Moore’s exclusive fabric edited by Garro Éditions.
Breuer and Moore each revolutionised twentieth-century art and architecture in their singular ways. In the 1930s, Henry Moore lived and worked in Hampstead, London, while Marcel Breuer, having fled Germany, settled in the nearby Lawn Road Flats – now known as the Isokon Building. The artist and architect were contemporaries and friends. As part of London Design Festival Garro Éditions and Isokon will create an intimate installation highlighting the link between Marcel Breuer and Henry Moore. The Isokon Long Chair manufactured by Isokon will be upholstered with the Henry Moore textile edited by Garro Éditions. Garro Éditions will also present their exclusive collection of textiles edited in partnership with the Henry Moore Foundation. The collection features six works by Henry Moore, produced between 1931 and 1973, which demonstrate the breadth of subjects and techniques he worked with.
