Heritage and innovation are now strategic priorities in the design economy, creating critical challenges as industries balance tradition and change. Our speakers will examine key IP risks, opportunities, impacts of new online tools, and the ways brands can protect intellectual property.
We're delighted to again be supporting the London Design Festival. The event has been a benchmark on our calendar for nearly 15 years. This year we've got another stellar line-up of top-performing speakers at the forefront of their respective sectors. They include: • Sau-Fun Mo, Head of Design & LTM50 Programme Lead at London Transport Museum. • James Dwyer, Creative Director, Lumsden Design. • Dan Flashman, Creative Director, tangerine. • John Coldham, Partner, Gowling WLG - Chairs the event. Heritage versus innovation is no longer simply a philosophical debate — for many it's a strategic mission in today's design-driven economy. The tension between safeguarding legacy and embracing disruption is playing out across all industries and sectors. It poses a host of critical challenges. Our speakers will be taking a deep dive into the emerging risks to intellectual property (IP) in the design economy, innovation, the impact of new readily available online tools, plus the opportunities to safeguard IP as more brands blend traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. We're anticipating a lively and fascinating debate.
