Harnessing the Unmade is Sunra’s London Design Festival 2026 programme, transforming a global AI creative competition into a live exhibition of film, image, and emerging creative practice. It explores how AI can expand the artist’s toolkit and push the boundaries of creative expression.

The programme began with an international open call for 1-5 minute works across five categories: commercial, short film, experimental work, music video and visual effects. Created with Sunra or any AI tool, the entries are judged on creativity, visual quality, narrative and the thoughtful use of AI. From 10 to 15 September, selected works will be presented at The Handbag Factory in London. The programme includes an opening night on 11 September, industry talks and a screening on 12 September, and a workshop day on 13 September. More than a showcase of new technology, Harnessing the Unmade is a meeting place for artists, filmmakers, designers and creative leaders considering how authorship, craft and culture are changing. Presented by Sunra, an official partner of London Design Festival 2026, in partnership with Wonder Studios, MANA, ARKLINK and WaytoAGI.
