Hive Collective and Yonder bring expert speakers and talented local makers together to celebrate and shine a light on East London's vibrant manufacturing and making industry. This event will give an insight into the unique processes and tools behind craftsmanship and making in our corner of the city.

Walthamstow's Creative Business Community Hive Collective in collaboration with Yonder Workspace, will celebrate and shine a light on East London's vibrant manufacturing and making industry. The event will feature two passionate and expert speakers: ● Professor Mark Brearley, who has spent more than two decades cataloguing London manufacturers will discuss the capital’s industrial landscape and future prospects. ● Harriet Warden, Director of Blackhorse Workshop, who will be speaking about the importance of this facility in Walthamstow and preserving essential skills. Additionally, talented local makers will demonstrate their unique processes and tools, offering attendees insight into their craftsmanship. This event will showcase photographs of local workshops and factories, taken by Carmel King from 'Made In London', a book Mark and Carmel collaborated on together. Come along, have some drinks and network whilst celebrating local manufacturing and making, ensuring these remain a vital part of London's economic and cultural fabric.
