Lighting designer Riya Panchal is showcasing the power of creative partnership as part of the William Morris Design Line. Immerse yourself in this celebration of craft, collaboration and creative chemistry at Blackhorse Workshop, where three distinct experiences reveal how meaningful partnerships transform ideas into beautiful, functional art. From intimate conversations to hands-on making, witness how different disciplines unite to create something extraordinary. This collaborative experience includes: ▪️ Open Studio: MESMERIK Collection Launch - Fri-Sun, 10am-4pm, drop-in Discover the debut sculptural lighting collection blending bubble-rich kiln-formed glass with precision-engineered metal forms by Riya Panchal and Kira Phoenix K'inan ▪️ Talk: Design That Connects - Sat 20 Sept, 2-3pm, ticketed Join Riya Panchal, embroidery artist Nicole Chui, and glass artist Kira Phoenix K'inan for insights into cross-disciplinary collaboration ▪️ Workshop: Sculpting in Thread - Sat & Sun, 10:30 and 2pm, ticketed Create your own embroidered paper version of the iconic Mantis Lamp with Riya Panchal and Nicole Chui Please note: The first-floor studio is only accessible via stairs. The William Morris Design Line is an open weekend of design, craft and making across Blackhorse Lane and Argall Industrial Area in Walthamstow and Leyton, East London. This celebration of local creativity showcases the vibrant making community thriving in Waltham Forest, continuing the legacy of William Morris and the area's rich design heritage.
