Camberwell College of Arts, UAL introduces: Microclimates, a global exhibition and festival of events showing new forms of design which make a difference to our society and the climate. Throughout the week we’ll explore how multidisciplinary projects can work together to create global change.

The projects in this exhibition push the boundaries of design by addressing global issues such as food instability, climate migration and the energy crisis. Mapping techniques are an integral part of the project development, as they aid the designers to identify complex problems and gain a comprehensive understanding of the challenges. Grounding the projects within local contexts has allowed the designers to develop strategies and interventions that engage with different communities and create meaningful change.  MA Global Collaborative Design Practice is a pioneering new dual award Masters course from Camberwell College of Arts, part of University of the Arts London (UAL) and Kyoto Institute of Technology (KIT), in Japan. The partnership between UAL and KIT combines the strength of arts and science to create a unique experience through the exchange of diverse cultural perspectives that is rooted in collaboration.  This exhibition has been produced by students on the course; Disha Kulkarni, Nanthini Priya Veluswamy Sampathkumar and Özge Sahin
