Occhio – a new culture of light Opening Occhio store London Launch of new series Luna
At London design festival visitors can experience Occhio’s culture of light in the new flagship store and be part of the launch of the new and completely unique luminaire series Luna. Luna is based on the innovative magical light source ‘Fireball’ which seems to float like a celestial body in the glass sphere. Occhio – a new culture of light The international luminaire brand Occhio stands for ‘a new culture of light’. Occhio's luminaires have won numerous awards for their outstanding design and offer a unique quality of light and an incomparable ‘joy of use’. The carefully thought-out, comprehensive Occhio range means that entire buildings can be designed with lighting that meets the highest standards in design and lighting quality – and thus enrich people's quality of life. The visionary success story began in 1999 with a revolutionary idea from the designer and company founder Axel Meise: to create a highly innovative lighting portfolio that offers consistent design and lighting quality and which creates the perfect light for every situation. The continuously expanding and carefully thought-out, comprehensive Occhio range means that entire buildings can be designed with lighting that meets the most exacting standards in terms of design and life quality with light in both the private and commercial sector. Occhio's innovative features, such as gesture control, up/down fading, colour tune and the universal Occhio air Bluetooth control offer a unique level of operating comfort and enable users to become conductors of their own lighting symphonies. As a European leader, Occhio is now one of the most innovative and fastest growing companies, having evolved from its position as a German design icon into an international lifestyle brand in the luxury segment. Headquartered in the heart of Munich, Occhio today employs over 350 people. Sales and advice are provided via over 500 lighting and furnishing retail partners as well as the company's own flagship stores in Munich, Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Milan and Shanghai – and now London.
