From preserving tradition, to social wellbeing, to telling a story through the art of music. Resolve Collective invites you to explore projects from young, optimistic designers with a goal of making the world a better place.
At Resolve Collective, we believe that design is the key component for understanding, empathy and education. We are comprised of five graduate students with five unique projects. At the heart of our concept is the Winter Hexagon, an asterism of six constellations, each anchored by its brightest star. Five represent us as designers, while Sirius, the brightest of all, represents the industry. Only when we are reunited with the industry does the circle take shape. Together, we shine at our fullest. Take a journey across the cosmos; each star revealing a unique voice and skillset. Sheida Moinzadeh (Procyon) In our current time, global production leans further into quantity over quality, diminishing the efforts of genuine, handmade products and endangering many facets of craftsmanship where some are at risk of being lost to time. Sheyda Moinzadeh invites you to focus on the intricate details of the hand-woven art of Persian rugs through her brand Greh, to learn about the craft and the deep, historical symbolism that has spanned for hundreds of generations. Shiara Ramduth (Castor + Pollux) With a background in illustration from the university of Arts University Bournemouth, Shiara Ramduth has created the groundwork for SenPlay, a brand focused on developing Holistic Skills for children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities. Her cast of colourful, hand-illustrated characters are designed to make children feel safe, seen and understood, with hands-on activities designed to help develop these essential skills & teach them about the world we live in. Roxana Dumitroiu (Capella) Inspired by the marketing divisions of Korean Pop, Roxana Dumitroiu seeks to strengthen the connection between fan and musician by expanding on conceptual albums to the wider world. Using the music of artist Alec Benjamin, Roxana's brand Nabiora has created one-of-a kind merchandise, including journals, posters and interactive material all within beautifully crafted packaging that is meant to be kept and cherished. Alex King (Aldebaran) Illustrated with bold icons and engaging character design, Alex King's StudentHouseWatch focuses on creating digestible, comprehensive information about privately rented spaces aimed at students and young people, using an efficient design system for smooth, stress-free production for formats both physical and digital. Farshid Ghaffari (Rigel) In the wake of what many call a 'loneliness epidemic', concern for the dwindling rate of genuine human connection lies in our dependency of digital communication and the language we use in preference to social dialogue. Farshid Ghaffari's brand LOST paves the way for more active socialisation through a healthy symbiosis between humans and technology. The Future... (Sirius) We end our journey at the brightest star, representing our future and the endless opportunities that await us on the horizon. Our hope for us is to look beyond the stars to reach our full potential as designers. Our hope for you is that you leave inspired and invigorated.
