Parali by Aarushi transforms RICE STRAW an agricultural waste, into innovative, eco-conscious fabrics and home decor products that redefine sustainability. Each piece is crafted to reflect our commitment to a greener, more conscious future
At Parali by Aarushi, we believe that sustainability is not just a concept but a way of life. Our journey began with a mission to turn agricultural waste into innovative, eco-friendly materials that are not only functional but also beautiful. By upcycling rice straw, a natural residue often burned and wasted, we’ve found a way to create products that reduce environmental harm while offering high-quality, durable, and aesthetically pleasing designs. Our Story: Founded in 2022, Parali by Aarushi is the brainchild of Aarushi Mittal, who has always been passionate about combining her love for design with a commitment to sustainability. Drawing inspiration from nature, local communities, and traditional practices, Aarushi developed a unique process to transform rice straw into a variety of sustainable materials. Through extensive experimentation and collaboration with local artisans, the team at Parali has developed a range of products, from fabrics to decorative items, that are both innovative and environmentally responsible. What We Do: At Parali, we specialize in upcycling rice straw into eco-conscious fabrics and surfaces. Rice straw is often seen as an agricultural waste product, burned after harvest, contributing to air pollution and environmental damage. Our goal is to change that narrative by converting this natural residue into something of value. The fibers from rice straw are carefully processed, and through a blend of traditional techniques and modern technology, we create sustainable, high-quality textiles and products that reflect nature’s beauty and the intricate craftsmanship of local artisans. Our product range includes: Fabrics and Textiles: Ideal for interior design, our fabrics are not only sustainable but also durable, offering a natural, organic texture. We create a variety of textiles using upcycled rice straw, organic cotton and recycled yarns, perfect for drapery, interior and furnishings. Our focus is on creating materials that promote both luxury and environmental responsibility. Carpets and Rugs: We offer handcrafted carpets and rugs made from, rice straw featuring unique designs and textures inspired by nature. These are perfect for homes and interiors seeking a blend of elegance, sustainability, and affordability. Home Decor: We also craft a range of home decor products, made from rice straw. These eco-friendly ornaments are designed with sustainability in mind, offering a rustic charm while promoting a circular approach to holiday decor. Once used, the decorations can be crushed and returned to the soil, where they decompose naturally, adding nutrients as they biodegrade. Sustainability at Our Core: At the heart of Parali by Aarushi is our commitment to sustainability. We believe in circular design, where every product we create has a minimal impact on the environment. From the materials we use to the way our products are packaged, we aim to reduce waste and promote a greener future. All of our products are made with natural, biodegradable materials, and many are designed to be reused, recycled, or composted at the end of their life cycle. We also prioritize working with local communities and artisans. By supporting traditional craftsmanship and employing eco-friendly techniques, we not only reduce our carbon footprint but also empower local economies. Each piece created at Parali is a testament to the dedication of these artisans and their skills, passed down through generations. Our Philosophy is simple: to design sustainable products that tell a story. Each piece is crafted with care, reflecting our commitment to environmental responsibility and meaningful impact. We continuously explore new ways to innovate with upcycled materials and welcome collaborations with creatives who share our vision, eager to experiment with rice straw and natural materials. Looking Ahead: Parali by Aarushi
