Romani Home presents '‘While I Sat To Make Life’

Celebrated across Dubai for her bold aesthetic and a loyal celebrity following, Jarrar founded collectible design studio Romani Home in 2024 in Dubai, marking her evolution from fashion into collectible design. The studio is defined by avant-garde, organic forms and meticulously curated pieces, each one a limited edition, handmade artwork. Consisting of six pieces, the new collection explores the dualities Jarrar associates with both motherhood and womanhood: vulnerability and power, movement and stillness, surrender and grounding. They carry the tension between chaos and calm, mirroring the quiet internal shifts of becoming a mother while honouring the physical closeness and emotional sensitivity of that time. The collection is made of contrasting materials: heavy versus weightless, raw versus refined, fluid versus rigid. She continues to work primarily in bronze, oak, and stone, materials she has previously described as holding memory, with the maker's hand left visible in the finished pieces. Central to this narrative is the Man Chair, inspired the embrace with her husband. Its hand-carved oak legs, modelled directly from his own, echo the perspective she often had while resting with him during pregnancy. The chair stands as a symbol of safety, support and a quiet strength that holds without overpowering. Alongside it, the Fluid Bench expresses the flowing, ever-changing nature of life, echoing the movement of breath, water, and the soft fluidity of a body in transition. Its form captures the gentleness, resilience, and constant motion of motherhood - a reminder that equilibrium is found not in stillness, but in the ability to move, adapt and bend. Together, the pieces form a sculptural diary of Haya’s intimate chapter into motherhood. Each work in the collection is an emotional story, a physical imprint of transformation, connection, and the profound tenderness that shaped Haya’s journey.
