Asket presents: sensommar, an olfactive installation by DENIM—SYKES. A study in scent, movement and material.
The installation unfolds in two parts within Asket's Brewer Street store. The first is positioned in the window: tall, billowing panels drape from the ceiling, their movement reminiscent of curtains caught in the breeze. Sourced from Asket's partner mill in Portugal, the deadstock cotton remains uncut and unsewn, ensuring it has a life beyond the installation.
The second introduces Plume, an atmospheric device created in collaboration with Theo Sykes and Dariia Nepop.
Together, they emit a bespoke fragrance evocative of the natural world. Combining bucolic notes of dried hay and pollen-like florals, recalling the feeling of late September. The effect is almost imperceptible, capturing traces of a season beginning to recede, offering familiarity, simplicity and calm aromatic respite - redolent of summer's end.
In keeping with Asket's approach to design, it is considered, deliberate and restrained, leaving nothing behind and taking nothing away. A celebration of Asket's commitment to sustainable design and transparent supply chains.
DENIM—SYKES is an olfactive design studio by Alice Denim and Luka Sykes. The duo design scents and diffusion systems for people and places. They currently operate out of a converted school toilet in Walworth.
Asket is a Swedish clothing brand founded in 2015 by Jakob Sazon Dworsky and August Bard Bringéus. Asket creates and continuously refines a single, permanent collection, offering a custom size system with multiple length options, manufacturing transparently in Europe, using exclusively natural fibers, and offering repair and take-back services on all garments. Last year, Asket opened its second permanent store, here in London.
