The Royal College of Art Design Products cohort of 2025 presents Slow Moments, an exhibition of work by 21 graduating designers exploring the quiet power of material, interaction, and meaning.
In a culture driven by efficiency and convergence, these projects ask us to pause—to notice, to feel, to engage. Through crafted interfaces, tactile rituals, and thoughtful forms, the work reframes design as an act of re-centring: replacing convenience with consideration, and impersonal with intimacy. Slow Moments is a celebration of discovery and the pleasures found in slowness. It reflects on what it means to engage with a well-made, intentional object—one that invites presence and fosters meaningful, interpersonal connection. Whether through new rituals or heightened material awareness, these projects use design to reawaken attention to the everyday. Each becomes a touchpoint for reflection, encouraging a more grounded and generous way of living with the things that surround us.
