After a 6-year hiatus, PINCH are returning to London Design Festival, taking part in “A Softer World”, a celebration of design curated by Alex Tieghi-Walker. PINCH will preside in the private dining space of The Lavery, a Georgian townhouse in South Kensington, where they will present “Supper in the Studio”.
Supper in the Studio is a clipped and elegant dining scene installation, surrounded by the oddities and curiosities that make the PINCH studio space such a warm, productive and creative space. Guests are invited to dine amongst an exhibition of raw creativity, featuring a selection of our much-loved ephemera from 1:5 handmade maquettes, to samples, found objects, general inspirers of note, with new product previews revealed. PINCH are a natural fit for Alex Tieghi-Walkers “A Softer World”. Softness is also a core principle of the PINCH design intention, it is celebrated in their material selection, the soft curve of a product’s shape and the way in which each piece is experienced; how an armchair envelopes its sitter or how the underside of a table feels as you run your hand along it. Softness is a value lived by PINCH in the everyday, from their award winning and instantly recognisable furniture and lighting collection, to the gentle and elegant ambience of their Pimlico Road showroom, to the way they have chosen to grow their design studio, collection and business over the last 21 years.
