Join a panel discussion with industry experts, focusing on the impact of Artificial Intelligence within art and photography, and the positive and negative developments this technology may have moved forward.

This panel discussion, free to all, will explore how the introduction of Artificial Intelligence has had an impact on art and photography, looking at the creative positives and negatives the new technology brings. Montcalm East, Autograph Collection champions photography throughout the hotel providing a creative hub for guests and visitors alike. In a unique collaboration with Ravensbourne University, the hotel hosts a photographer in residence programme in their state of the art Photo Studio. Emerging artists can make full use of the permanent studio space to develop their portfolio and showcase their work while hotel guests are encouraged to drop by for expert advice and create content of their own with on-site smartphone printers. The panel will be made up of a whole host of industry experts from hospitality, architecture, education and art which includes Montcalm East’s art consultant Anne Rogers (founder of Culture A who curated the art within the hotel), Geraint Cunnick (Course Leader Digital Photography at Ravensbourne University and partner for Montcalm East’s photography in residence programme) and Paul Mann (Brand Director at Black Sheep). The panel will be chaired by Ben Spriggs, Editor of Elle Decoration. Montcalm East will also be hosting an Open Photo Studio and Drop-in photographer sessions during the week of London Design Festival with their latest photographer in residence, John Steven Martinez. John will be on hand to offer guests drop-in photography training sessions and expert advice. Guests are encouraged to bring their own cameras along or even their smartphones to discuss tips and tricks to capture the perfect shot. Sessions will run from 10am-4pm on 18 September - 22 September 2023. Session will be on a first come first served basis, subject to availability.
