In an immersive exhibition of light, design, and collaboration, award-winning lighting design studio There’s Light unveils its first-ever retail product, Corner Light, a cordless lamp designed by the studio and developed in collaboration with specialist Australian cordless lighting manufacturer Neoz.
There’s Light creates bespoke lighting solutions that shape atmosphere and experience. Drawing from cinematic references, their lighting designs evoke mood and emotion through materiality, technical precision and attention to craft. Housed within a pop-up display in the Tate Modern’s Corner Bar, the lighting showcase explores the interplay of form, light, and raw materials developed by Fabio Cristini and Darran Prior of There’s Light and accompanied with a sculptural installation by a London-based design and production studio. The display echoes an initial response to the brief when There’s Light first began developing the lighting design for Corner Bar in 2022. This immediate context heavily inspired the materiality of the display, emulating that robust, timeless quality, but broken down into a modular and manageable form. Taking visual cues from Lee Sisan's (Proportions of Stone), propelled an immediate desire to not only exaggerate the use of material; replacing the stone, and adding our Corner lamp within the sheet steel, but also enhance the direct relationship between the two. The launch also celebrates an ongoing partnership between There’s Light and Corner Bar, a meeting point of design, hospitality, and art. A limited edition of Corner Light will be available exclusively at the Tate Shop and online during London Design Festival 2025.
