Water Buffalo and Other Design Stories

Food is not a lifestyle. It is land use, climate, labour, survival and politics, and one of the most consequential design systems on the planet.
London-based Turner Prize-nominated artists and researchers Cooking Sections present their ongoing project tracing the water buffalo through landscape, farming and fermentation, asking what a more honest relationship between design and living systems might actually look like.
In dialogue with Jan Boelen and his work on the Aral Sea Project, the session expands the conversation to the ecological and political consequences of extraction, agriculture and resource collapse.
Includes a tasting session of water buffalo yogurt!
