ESTRA is a London design practice proposing a new category of made object: the Tectonic Object. Grounded in a defined philosophy of making, its work follows a set of stated principles – chief among them, that an object can hold its value through its own structure and material, rather than through branding or seasonal novelty. ESTRA builds structure-first, where design thinking is tested against the demands of industrial making. The load-bearing frame is exposed as a statement, making structure the subject – to be seen and judged on what it is. Operating through its studio ESTRA LABS, the practice presents its first object, The Vertebra, at the London Design Festival 2026, as its public debut.
