Spero Furniture is a contemporary design studio based in Central India , founded by architect and designer Madhuri Rao, creating collectible and bespoke furniture rooted in material exploration, craftsmanship, and sculptural form. The studio explores the relationship between wood and aluminium, bringing together two contrasting materials in a way that feels balanced, tactile, and contemporary. Warm, organic wood is paired with cast and hand bent aluminium to create pieces where softness and precision coexist without overpowering one another. Rather than hiding the nature of the materials, the process celebrates their raw textures, imperfections, and individuality. This dialogue between materials is central to the practice. By blending traditional craftsmanship with industrial techniques, the work aims to create functional art that feels emotionally grounded, visually bold, and relevant to contemporary global spaces while still carrying a strong sense of origin and material honesty.
