Anna Franklin is Professor of Visual Perception and Cognition at the University of Sussex. She leads the Sussex Colour Group and co-leads the Sussex Baby Lab and Sussex Centre for Sensory and Perceptual Diversity. Her research on human colour perception has provided insights into how we name colours, why we prefer some colours to others, and how people experience colour across different ages, cultures and environments. She combines colour science with developmental, neuroscientific, and cross-cultural approaches, and frequently collaborates with industry and cultural organisations.
