Tobias Revell is Associate Director at Arup, leading a team of data and design experts across foresight, research, innovation, knowledge, skills and learning. He also exhibits, writes and lectures internationally on futures, art, design, technology and imagination. Previously he was Design Futures Lead of Arup University's Foresight team; a Programme Director at University of the Arts London; founder of design research consultancy Strange Telemetry, which pioneered speculative design in policy research; co-founder of Haunted Machines, a global curatorial project exploring technology and the occult; and founder of systems research collective Supra Systems Studio. He is completing a PhD in Design and The Social Construction of AI, analysing how design practice is complicit in, and can be used to challenge, mainstream imaginaries about futures with Artificial Intelligence.
