
Torange Khonsari founded and directs Public Works, an interdisciplinary practice working on co-production methods in art, architecture, urbanism, systems thinking and citizenship. She is also director of research centre on applied research in empowering society at London Metropolitan University. Her strategic design practice focuses on design as political inquiry and design intervention as a method for systemic problem solving. Her projects impact public space, democratic governance and community development. She works with public institutions, communities, and cultural organisations. Torange has 25 years' experience in academic teaching in architecture and design. She is supervises commons related PhD program at LMU. She is Unit Master at the Architectural Association. She has taught at the Royal College of Art in London. She was a visiting professor at the International University of Barcelona on the MA in Emergency Architecture.
