Molteni&C celebrates 90 years of innovation, design, industry and corporate culture with: Molteni Mondo. An Italian Design Story, the first monograph dedicated to the company. To mark LDF, the book is presented for the first time in the UK with a dedicated immersive installation in the Molteni&C Flagship Store.
90 years of learning to interpret the needs and desires of contemporary living, and responding with new skills to special projects all over the world, always with a magnificent obsession for Quality. The book, published by Rizzoli New York, encapsulates all this with a cinematic narrative by the eye of photographer Jeff Burton, editorial care by Spencer Bailey, artistic direction by Studio Achermann from Zurich, introduction by Jean Nouvel, and postscript by Jacques Herzog. The book is the great star of the installation at the Brompton Road store, together with Gio Ponti's D.154.2 armchair, one of the most iconic design pieces of Molteni&C collection. This armchair has also been honoured with the 2024 Compasso d’Oro Career Award for Products, the most esteemed award in the Italian design world, celebrating Gio Ponti’s lasting impact on design and innovation. With the occasion of LDF, Molteni&C will also present the new products of the 2024 collection designed by Vincent Van Duysen, the company's Creative Director, such as the 'Logos' modular system, the 'Lucio' seating system and the 'Fonte' table.
