'Art Collective: from the one to the many' is a thought-provoking journey and a celebration of creative community. This exhibition constructs an organic artistic ecology to explore voices that are rarely heard in the art community.

London Art Collective will present the 22nd London Design Festival exhibition “Art Collective: From the one to the many” at the Saatchi Gallery, from 17th September to 19th September 2024. This exhibition will be the premier one in the Chelsea Design District, exploring the relationship between art collectives and individuals by showcasing the impact of collaborative work on society. The concept of the exhibition centres on a new approach to sharing ideas and resources, aimed at creating a thriving artistic ecosystem and highlighting the transformative power of artistic collaboration. While individual work has its strengths, it often encounters limitations that can stifle innovation and growth. This exhibition encourages artists to engage with diverse artistic communities, focusing not only on collaborative art but also on the perspectives exchange. The Exhibition combines the traditional notions of individual contribution in art while embracing collaborative practices to explore new forms of meaning and identity. It invites diverse artists to engage in a collective dialogue, reflecting on how art can reshape both artistic production and social relations. This exhibition draws visual inspiration from the collaborative art game "Cadavre Exquis" (Exquisite Corpse), to create surreal animal images. These animated bestiaries represent the various collective groups involved, with each playful character symbolising the diversity and creativity of the collectives. The exhibition unites communities and spaces through collective efforts, multimedia, and diverse expressive methods. It empowers artists to become advocates, addressing contemporary issues by leveraging socially conscious public art to impact daily environments. This approach encourages viewers to confront and reflect on often-overlooked social phenomena and challenges.
