William Morris Design Line will be hosting its dedicated district day on Saturday 21st September to shine a light on the partners based here during LDF24. Experience the thriving design-led scene of the district and late-night partner events and openings!
The William Morris Design Line (WMDL) shines a light on the richness of Waltham Forest’s past and present creative community and encourages visitors to discover, learn and interact with an incredible range of design, making and creative activity. WMDL was created by Wood Street Walls in 2020, as part of the Local Trust's Creative Civic Change Programme in collaboration with William Morris Big Local - it helped establish a community-led design route through Walthamstow. For 2024, it will extend to Lea Bridge for the first time to showcase designers and makers across the Argall Industrial Area. This year, now programmed in partnership with Waltham Forest Council, the 2024 edition presents an open weekend of design, craft and making. Between 20 - 22 September makers and creatives in our corner of London are opening their doors and showing you behind-the-scenes. This is a rare opportunity to meet designers and makers, discover the process behind their work and try your hand at making.
