Cyril Lancelin’s ‘Imaginary Harvest of Hazelnuts’ lands at Maison Diptyque London.
Born in exuberant, ebullient Saint Germain, Paris, in 1961, Diptyque is a creator of evocative perfumes for the self and the home, scented skincare products and desirable decorative objects. Striking a balance between reverie, nature and art, Diptyque extends an invitation to step inside a universe replete with creations that set the imagination free to wander.
The Ephemeral Space in Maison Diptyque London is a testament to the strong bond Diptyque has forged with art and creativity since its inception. An immersive sculpture inspired by Diptyque’s herbarium, in which giant hazelnuts unfold. A unique, up-close-and-personal perspective of nature where primary forms and fantasy collide, complete with mirrors and memories of a stroll in an Aquitaine forest.
Cyril Lancelin brings Diptyque his surrealist take on hazelnuts, with an immersive sculpture in which gigantic, 3D-printed nuts are layered and endlessly reflected on the surface of a mirror. The hazelnuts are suspended from towering steel and aluminium arches that allow them to hover weightlessly in an enchanting spectacle. A vision of natural abundance stretching as far as the eye can see.
