CHEEKY LONDON 25 is a creative initiative based in London that connects art, design, and community through playful, unexpected, and inclusive experiences. As part of the official programme of London Design Festival 2025, Cheeky London 25 presents a dual-format event that merges contemporary craft, emerging creativity, and bold cultural perspectives. FILL CREATIVE. FLIP LONDON We believe creativity thrives in open spaces — where ideas collide, disciplines blur, and people connect. That’s why we’re building two interconnected platforms to showcase both emerging talent and collaborative processes. Welcome to CHEEKY OPEN LAB and CHEEKY LAUNCHPAD. ⸻ CHEEKY OPEN LAB Creative Art & Design Festival A playful, interactive studio-style market where makers, designers, and collectives open their practice to the public. Each booth is a micro-lab — part showroom, part shop, and part workshop. Visitors are invited to touch, shop, and chat directly with the people behind the work. From tufted textiles and experimental ceramics to upcycled fashion and interactive design tools, this open lab celebrates the “doing” of design — the messy, human, creative side that often stays behind closed doors. It’s not just about displaying products, but revealing processes and fostering real-time exchange between creatives and communities. ⸻ CHEEKY LAUNCHPAD Emerging Art Exhibition A curated exhibition platform showcasing emerging artists who create bold, sincere, and urgent work. This is not your typical white-cube gallery. Here, artists launch new ideas — raw, evolving, sometimes unresolved — and invite audiences to engage with them not as spectators, but as fellow explorers. Through painting, performance, installation, video, and more, the Launchpad aims to uncover new perspectives on the world we live in. It’s a space for experimentation, friction, and meaningful dialogue.
