Creative Works is based in a former factory. This inspired their creative community to ask what an ‘open factory’ might mean in the space today. They will delve into the transformation of historic industrial buildings into contemporary creative hubs, through the eyes of the designers and creatives based here.

Dive into a design-focused journey at the London Design Festival, exploring the transformation of historic industrial buildings into contemporary creative hubs. "From Assembly Lines to Creative Minds" celebrates the innovative shift from the traditional Ford assembly line to modern open factory settings. This event spotlights the blend of industrial heritage with cutting-edge design, showcasing spaces where freelancers and a myriad of creative enterprises thrive. These innovators share physical spaces but the production of their work happens in digital space through digital tools, collaboration and networks. The event will reflect on the influence design has had on how we work – from assembly lines to digital collaboration – and what their own processes and ways of working might tell us about the future of creative collaboration.
