Heal’s at LDF: An Exhibition Of Two Halves
Partner Programme
16 — 24 Sept 2023
Craft, Interiors & Furniture
Heal’s is celebrating London Design Festival with two exciting events at its flagship store on Tottenham Court Road. An exhibition of 10 pieces from third-year students at Kingston University’s Furniture & Product Design course. And an exhibition of iconic seating from the last 70 years.
Firstly, Heal’s is collaborating with third-year students from Kingston University’s Furniture & Product Design course to showcase a shortlist of ten pieces at its flagship store on Tottenham Court Road, exploring the process and stories behind the designs. Excitingly, three designs have been shortlisted to be considered for manufacture. Expect fresh thinking, original ideas, thoughtful craft and creative outcomes – all testament to the talent of this year’s alumni. Secondly, Heal’s will also be celebrating a trio of iconic seating that has shaped our taste and space since the individual styles were introduced to homes over the last 70 years, including Togo by Michel Ducaroy for Ligne Roset, which this year marks its 50th anniversary; Egg by Arne Jacobsen, made by Fritz Hansen, which turns 65; and Forum by Robin Day, relaunched by Case and exclusively on display at Heal’s, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2024. A chance to admire, and get inspired by, true design icons.
