Join Museum of the Home for the launch evening for an exciting new season of Museum Lates, celebrating the many stories and histories in their new gallery, Rooms Through Time: 1878-2049.

This evening will feature lively discussions, guided tours, engaging talks, music, and creative workshops, curated to unpack and explore the stories of their seven new Rooms Through Time and what Home can mean. Their galleries will stay open later, offering you the chance to explore their newly opened rooms: A Terraced House in 1878, A Tenement Flat in 1913, A Bedroom Upstairs in 1956, A Terraced House in 1978, A High Rise Flat in 2005, A Terraced House in 2024 and A Converted Flat in 2049: The Innovo Room of the Future. Walk through two centuries of design evolution, from Victorian floral motifs to mid-twentieth-century geometric patterns to speculative design in 2049. Discover how furniture, textiles, and decor have adapted to changing trends, reflecting the shifting preferences and innovations of each era. Come along to celebrate their new gallery, explore how homes have evolved aesthetically alongside societal shifts, and enjoy a lively evening at Museum of the Home.
