Isokon+ present their first collaboration with Jasper Morrison – the Iso-Lounge. An exhibition exploring the design development and celebrating the cantilevered chair. Developed over 18 months at the Isokon+ workshop, the chair, though seemingly simple in form pushes the technical performance of plywood as a material.
Extensive prototyping during the chair’s development allowed Morrison and the Isokon+ team to push what is physically possible from plywood to its limits. The Isolounge is a contemporary addition to the Isokon+ portfolio that also holds true to the modernist traditions of the brand.
