Jaune Press is an independent publishing house dedicated to the strange and fractious fringes of culture. Founded by the illustrator and educator, Matthew Frame, London Design Festival 2025 will see the launch of their first publication - The Ruins.

Developed in collaboration with the writer, broadcaster, and cultural theorist, Ken Hollings, and the designer and publisher, Patrick Fry, the text responds to a series of drawings that explore urban transformation and popular modernism through the lens of baroque science-fiction imagery; the ruins of the title taking its name from Susan Sontag’s 1965 essay, The Imagination of Disaster. Join us for the launch event on September 20th at Free Play City, an video arcade set in the industrial spaces of the Harringay Warehouse District, for an evening of live performances, site specific installations, and video games. The event is free, but please RSVP using the contact information provided to ensure entry. This event and publication would not have been possible without support from the Spatial and Digital Ecologies research group at the University of Greenwich.
