Join University of the Arts London and London College of Fashion at East Bank for the launch of the new Arts Shop, and experience a striking commissioned installation by acclaimed design studio Mentsen, as part of London Design Festival 2025.
To mark the opening of the brand-new Arts Shop at London College of Fashion (LCF) this September, University of the Arts London (UAL) have commissioned an installation by London-based design studio Mentsen within the new shop space at the award-winning East Bank campus, as part of the London Design Festival 2025. Inspired by the processes of folding and pleating that give soft materials architectural form, Mentsen’s new installation features pleated Tyvek panels in Douglas fir frames, reflecting the craft, innovation and material exploration at the heart of LCF. Situated within the emerging cultural quarter at Stratford, the new shop at LCF East Bank will be open to the public as well as UAL students. It offers a curated selection of art, fashion and design materials, alongside publications and limited-edition works by UAL creatives.
