New Showroom and Collaboration with Kangan Arora

Kangan Arora is a textile designer specialising in print and pattern. Born in India and now based in London, her work explores bold colour, geometry, abstraction and playful pattern application, with a specific interest in a variety of colour languages and processes. With a signature style that takes assimilated shapes and unexpected juxtapositions, she brings them to life through screen-printing, weave, digital applications, large scale installations and a range of other mediums. Arora has collaborated on projects with the likes of TATE, IKEA, Heal's and FLOOR_STORY, across a range of products including soft furnishings, rugs, acoustic panels and more and trained at Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design where she is currently a Lecturer in Textile Design. Arora has also run print workshops internationally at Kyoto Design Lab as part of their Textiles Summer School. FLOOR_STORY is a maker of beautiful rugs with an eye on craft and unique design. Based in London's Shoreditch district, FLOOR_STORY’s showroom is home to hand-made rugs that prove its off-beat approach to rug design creates the very best results. Through the championing of young design talent and collaborations with established designers, FLOOR_STORY founded by Simon Goff in 2015, has built a unique and sometimes left field collection of beautifully made rugs. Standing alongside discoveries made on regular sourcing trips to rug meccas, as well as a series of in-house designs, FLOOR_STORY rugs truly celebrate both diversity and creativity.
