Discover what’s positive and exciting in the world right now for wayfinding and placemaking, from bold, people-first design to smart new tech.

The outstanding speakers who will be joining us for our afternoon symposium (12.45pm-5.15pm) are: Colin Davies and Nic Quinn (Sum Place): ‘Joy lives in the ordinary: making public art for shared spaces’ Ibrahim (Portland): 'Place faking: a cultural revolution' Cannon Ivers (LDA Design): Retrofit city: social ecologies in the symbiocene’ Luciana Mattiello (STUDIOMDA): ‘Designing belonging: how environmental communication creates positive places’ Wesley Meyer (f.r.a.): ‘The power of ‘soft projects’. How gentle change gets unique results’ Jessica Rose (Rise Up / Plastic Free Thanet): ‘Rise up: people, place, planet’ We’ve also secured a brilliant venue for the event: an accessible and welcoming space designed for an afternoon and evening of conversation, ideas and connections. Following the symposium, delegates are invited to stay on-site for an informal drinks reception, providing an opportunity to continue conversations, network and connect with fellow industry colleagues.
