Visit the exhibition ‘Shaping the Future’ at Carl Hansen & Son's Clerkenwell showroom to explore new lighting and furniture launches by Børge Mogensen, Rikke Frost, Vilhelm Lauritzen and Henning Koppel, while also celebrating the 110th anniversary of Hans J Wegner.

Nurturing relationships with designers has been key to Carl Hansen & Søn’s legacy since the very beginning in 1908. With one hand preserving traditional craftsmanship and a keen eye trained on shaping the future, we continue to collaborate with new and established designers, crafting furniture that creates a dialogue between the past, present and future. For more than 110 years, Carl Hansen & Søn has played an integral role in passing on the legacy of innovative, considered design to the next generation. Placing our heritage of craft in the hands of contemporary visionaries has become the red thread throughout our design DNA. From the simplistic yet exacting geometry of Kaare Klint’s early modern furniture that would guide a young Hans J. Wegner, to Rikke Frost and EOOS’s contemporary, organic shapes as updated iterations of the modernist design language, paving the way for new ways of imagining furniture. We continue to honour the founding fathers of Danish modernism, whose enduring and far-reaching influence shapes contemporary visionaries, bridging our heritage from the past, into the future. During this year's LDF we also celebrate our commitment to legacy, heritage and high quality craftmanship within the essential context of sustainability. Our event program this year focusses on our desire to create design that will continue to last for generations, and the positive impact this has on human relationships and the environment. Our lighting collection expands to include a renewed focus on Hans J. Wegner’s archive of sleek and industrial lamps. A true testament to his simplistic and essential design language, these lamps remain ever-relevant in our homes today, shaping spaces with ambience and atmosphere. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to what promises to be a truly enriched showcase at this year's LDF 2024.
