HAPPENSTANCE is a body of work created by designer Emily Forgot. Its aim is to place the process of making at its core. Exploring the serendipity of creation, the happy accidents and the playfulness involved in bringing ideas to life.
The result is a collection of original maquettes, collages and textiles embodying Emily's bold and graphic visual language and celebrating the tactility and beauty found in the imperfections of the handmade. Emily Forgot is a maker whose multidisciplinary practice encompasses art, design & illustration for a diverse range of international clients. In her personal work she uses her recognisably playful & graphic visual language to explore her passion for interiors, architectural forms & colour. Since her first solo show 'Neverland' during LDF 2016, collectors, interior designers, stylists and architects have commissioned bespoke pieces for a variety of private and commercial projects.
