Brinkworth

4-6 Ellsworth Street

Bethnal Green

London

E2 0AX

Brinkworth opens its doors to share some key creative moments from the last 35 years. With a focus on collaboration and firm belief that great things come from good company.

Brinkworth is a global design company delivering brands in every dimension. Our work gives our clients tangibility in a world of intangibility, with an emphasis on what happens in the space between us. Always with an invitation to participate and an understanding that the physical space is the purest form of brand. This same sentiment goes for our studio, where one will only truly understand our practice after being in the space where the work happens. 4-6 Ellsworth Street has been our home since the early 90’s, and a constant only paralleled by our founder, Adam. It’s been a vessel for our creativity and over the years has expanded and contracted in unison with the ebb and flow of the market. Home to many innovative designers, late night collaborators and tireless material explorers. And perhaps just as importantly it’s the cradle of our culture. A culture founded in curiosity and a healthy disregard for convention, where unlike-minded people can meet to deliver thoughtful and characterful design full of humanity. This is a rare invitation to visit our studio and delve into the archive of projects, preoccupations and paraphernalia that have kept us busy for the last 35 years. Journey with us on this non-hierarchical and barely chronological ramble through objects, sounds and film. You will explore the work we do, the conversations we’ve had, and the relationships we have formed. With an opportunity to go behind the scenes and gain access to never-before-seen process and development of past projects, collaborations, and some of the fun we’ve had along the way. We are strong believers that our work is greater than the sum of its parts and that it’s what we do together that counts. Our intention is to build long relationships rather than one-off experiences. The spaces we design reflect that belief, as does our process, which has always been one of collaboration. So, this exhibition gives us an opportunity to platform those people and celebrate the warmth of our relationships. Drawing from the archive but also looking forward to new scenarios and new directions. Where collectively we will better understand how to facilitate genuine connections that build deeper communities and activate change for the better. We believe in spaces for people to come together and that those spaces only find their purpose when activated by participants. We look forward to seeing you there. Come and join the conversation.
